Having problems with my Superwinch x9 people, can anyone help? The drum is getting very hot almost straight away and turning slower than normal.I am assuming that the problem is with the brake assembly inside the drum as the motor is staying cool.Has anyone had one of theese to pieces and if so what sort of job is it to sort it out.Just had to cut 10' of rope of this morning due to heat damage which is not a cheap hobby in itself!

Yeah its heating up when powering out.Ran the winch with the rope off and the drum was hot within about 10 secs but stayed cooler powering in.This was with no load either way.I think I had better rip it apart,I suspect it could have shite in it,bloody stuff gets everywhere,Cheers
