Gwyn Lewis Suspension Upgrade

I decided it was about time i upgraded my suspension set up so i went for the Gwen Lewis kit i also bought some +2" standard rate (lbs per ft) springs, before you all say it i have ruined its road handerling but that don't matter to me. I am very impressed with the build quality of the kit and i am even more impressed with the suspension travel i now have all in all £650 well spent i think, although I'm not so sure my wife will agree with that :-\








With my previous suspension set up i could only get half way up the bank with out diff lock and with diff lock i could get about 3/4 of the way up but the motor felt like it was ready to tip over, with the new kit on it will go all the way to the top with out diff lock and it could have gone higher, the bank is about 1 mtr high

If you cross axle a lot, you may find yourself needing new propshafts.

I have a very similar kit on the 90 but from devon 4x4.
Mine will go a little further because my cones dont have the hook on them so i needed the new props.

yep say gd bye to that donut on the rear prop in no time, i had two now, i had to remove my prop and drive back from rougham without it (as matt knows )

im now changing mine to a 4 bolt flange and a prop with 2 ujs not a donut and hope thats ok

Just put some Gwyn Lewis spaces on my RRC to allow the clearance for the 31x1050x15 rubber. I know i won't get full articualtion but as i have HD police spec springs it still remains relatively chuckable.
