I'm finally getting round to doing some work on my project. It's a 110 SW (not County), with a BMW straight 6 (not the modern multi-point injection) and LPG conversion. It has a really rust rear of the chassis, I've got a section to fit for that. The side frames are gone as well, just bought some from Hainford Hall, they need a bit of work but a lot less than mine did, a few other bits and I hope to get it on the road this year for winter.

Today (OK this afternoon, I had a nice relaxing morning) I ground away the rust and paint from the damaged areas of the side frames, made up some repair sections in 2mm plate and tacked them on (gas-less MIG, so I'll get a neighbour to do them properly with a gas MIG). I finally feel that I'm making progress, the list hasn't been made yet but I guess there's: Remove old frames. Remove petrol tank. Cut off old rear of chassis. Cut brackets off old chassis. Cut brackets off new chassis section (cheap one from Paddocks with misaligned floor supports). Prep for welding chassis.
Attach new frames Attach new floor support Fit doors (maybe repair them if I feel like it) Remove front floor and seat box Replace thrust bearing/ pilot bearing (can't remember which previous owner said was noisy) Refit gearbox, hand brake, floor Fit new interior Sort headlights / indicators etc Fit tow hitch
And that's with a detailed look round. I can see myxself being very busy.

Oh oooops, has t really been just shy of two years? Ah well, the Landy is home now as i realised it was not going to get done in the barn. It's either too hot to do anything, to cold to want to drive tere and do anyhting, then there's the getting filthy and having to get in my relatively clean car to get home, blah blah blah.
So, should be nice and simple I thought, just do the rear chassis piece, put in the two side frames and away I go.
sadly I looked at the bulkhead, it's FUBAR, so the "new" one I have is going to have to go in, repairing the old one is just not worth it. that means a lot more work but at least it will be a good sound vehicle at the end of it.
