Hello everyone, I'm Dan.
I recently left military service and found a bit of a void. I'm going to try my hand at this. Hopefully get back into camping too.
So, with a little help hopefully from you guys I'm looking at buying an off roader..
I do have off road experience but what machines should I be looking at? I want something capable and tough but I want it to be fairly comfy and have plenty of boot space for camping gear etc. economy would be nice for longer road trips too. An all rounder really.. Not a heap.
I'm living in wereham near downham market, are there any places to go off road near by? Any local members?
Rough budget of £0-2000 (could go a little more for the right machine but less is preferred as its a toy)
Cheers everyone.. Dan

Hi Dan, Craig Cummings here - Currently being med discharged from the RAF - Your best bet for a good alrounder is a discovery. It can cope with almost all a defender can, is comfier, but not as much so as a Range Rover. I have had 9 different 4x4's in the past 5 years and always goo back to a Discovery! I got 34.6mpg on a run the other week on a 300tdi. It has plenty of boot space, roof space if you want it, and parts/accessories are easy to come by quite cheap. If you want any more help, dont hesitate to ask. We are all here to help.
