sticky reverse and first gear

can anyone tell me what's wrong with my rr classic. it sticks in reverse and pulls against the brake so i have to switch off to release the gear and it does it in first if i sit on the clutch for more than a few seconds at a junction. the other gears are fine.
it feels like there's a leak in the system somewhere.
if it was the brake system i would say it feels like an airlock but could that be the prob with the hydraulics for the clutch
ian thinks it might be a seal on the cylinder?

please someone think of something........ it's ruined my plans for nite laning in thetford cos i can't crawl in first or reverse lol

so let me get this right you stop in 1st then you cant change gear same in reverse dose it grind when you change from 1st to 2nd or grind when you put it in frverse
