as i've been driving about have come across a few byways and restricted byways in my local area are all byways greenlanes? once i've got the rangie back on the road would like to take a look but dont want to go anywhere i shouldn't any info would be much appreciated

Most book stores sell them, WH Smiths, Waterstones, if not, get the 1:25000 Explorer from online OS Map shop or adventure shops too.

Anything posted with a byway sign is legal to drive, Restricted byways no longer have vehicle rights so it is illegal to drive on them But as others have said get an OS map there are loads of byways and ucr's that are not sign posted
