I was doing my morning collection at the Tesco's in Lowestoft. pulled into the carpark and saw a Blue 110 with roof rack on fully equipped with everything.
So me being me parked just in front of it and sure enough when I came out, the bloke was stood there eating his Cornish pastie. I said hello and we got talking about my Disco, then I remarked on how well equipped his 110 was. Only to be told that they were now off to Mongolia!
While we were talking I noticed a drip coming from underneath, right in the middle of the car. I pointed this out to him as you would. He replied with oh yeah i see that before, its coming from the transfer box! I have looked but cant see where its coming from! Now we were there for 15minutes and the oil patch was about 3 inches in Dia!
He then told me that they had fully overhauled the complete car for this trip! I just hope they get on OK but I have a funny feeling they might have a few problems?
I don't think i would be doing a journey like that with an oil leak like that but am I just being me?
He was a really nice bloke and I do wish him all the luck.
Would any of you guys do a journey like this with an oil leak as bad as it was?
